I've been in the classroom for 14 years. That means I've also been exposed to high school cafeteria food for the same amount of time. Last year I completed my goal of packing lunch every day, and loosing 20 pounds. A correlation? What do you think?
180 days in a school year, and I'm going to bento for a minimum of 100, my goal is 150. I'm an optimist about snow days.
My bento is a jar style with 4 compartments, 2 warm 2 cool. The compartments are small ranging from .3oz to 10 oz. The main course packs quickly, usually leftovers. The catch lies in what to do with the other space you have to fill. Vegetables, fruit, yoghurt, healthy stores just seems to fit into place. It's a bento thing, you wouldn't understand. Seriously - google it, it's like a cult.
